Letter to God

Have you ever stopped to think about what you would say to God if you could see Him face to face or if you could pick up the phone and call Him?

In Psalm 13:1, David was not afraid to let the Lord know exactly how he was feeling.  At the end of it all however, David always chose to trust in the Lord.  Perhaps we could follow David’s example.

Dear God,

What direction do You want me to take – in terms of my career, in terms of my relationship?  Lord, is she the one? Will it work?

Right now, all I am hearing in my head is noise.  In the past, I took the route that I thought You were telling me to take – and look how that turned out – look where I am now! Feeling like I am not contributing anything meaningful to society.

Lord, I am afraid – afraid of stepping outside of Your will; afraid of failing; afraid that I will not have enough; afraid that I’ll not be able to provide for my family and to make ends meet.

As a result of these fears, I feel like I am settling for less than the best – the best that You promised me in Your Word.

Lord help me – answer me – guide me – help me to quiet the noise in my head and to listen to You.

Sincerely Yours,

Confused and afraid

Fashion: ones self-expression to the world

by Amanda Lovable @ LovableStyles

Fashion is art and art of all forms is an expression of one’s creative mind.  There’s a misconception that it’s all about wearing labels to get the acceptance of today’s society.  After you purchase fashionable items it’s what you do with it afterwards that makes the extraordinary difference.  Besides all the designers’ labels, I’m a firm believer it’s very important for one to possess a sense of style.  If you don’t have style, eventually fashion fades.

“Style is not a display of wealth but an expression of one’s imagination”.

Certain individuals may have an issue finding their own unique style.

Style strives from having confidence within yourself and most importantly, loving thyself.  Self-love is the first love and the root to having a healthy self-esteem.

Think about it, if you are unable to realise how special you are, how can others view and appreciate the very same in you?

Confidence in your overall appearance gives you assurance and this helps to enhance your style.  Search deep inside your inner self to find your personal statement to the world.  According to Rachel Zoe

“Style is a way of saying who you are without saying a word”.

Create a signature style that’s built from your confidence and of course your unbreakable self-love.  Remember fashionable style isn’t built only on designer labels.

Style is the blue print of fashion and fashion is a form of art that’s accepted by the majority.

Peace and love,

Dear God

Thank You for waking me up this morning.  Thank You for all the blessings that You have bestowed on me, my family and my friends.  And most importantly, thank You for grace and mercy.

Only You know our hearts.  Help me to always remember this – especially when I am laying down judgment and/or condemnation.

I am learning that being a person of faith does not mean that I’ll never have negative or ungodly feelings and You continue to show me the truth.

You want me to be honest and to listen to You.  I will not always succeed at this, so I’ll need Your help.

Help me to become a more genuine me.

In Jesus’ name I pray.

Regards,

Mr Judgemental

When Lord when?  Why Lord why?

I am not sure if You have noticed, but I failed the exam for the 3rd time!!!

Yeah, You know those very expensive exams that I have absolutely no motivation to study for?  What’s up with that?!?!  I studied and prayed so hard each time I was about to do a re-sit.  Clearly, those weren’t enough.  I don’t know what else to do.

And that relationship – not exactly going the way I envisioned – he’s driving me crazy!  Hmmm, I suppose I drive him up the wall at times as well J

Before I forget, thanks for that breakthrough regarding the situation that I’ve been praying about for the past two years.

Heaven knows that at times, I’ve been angry and depressed.  Not to mention confused, unforgiving and judgmental.

Sometimes I feel like You have forgotten me.  Haven’t You been hearing my prayers?  Or have I done something to upset You?  Is it that I am not worthy?  Why does it seem that forever passes by and I don’t hear from You?

I realise that when things are going good in my life, I tend not to lean on You as much.  Am I being punished for that?

I need Your help.  Clearly, I can not do this alone.

Thy will be done.

Sincerely,

Confused and dumbfounded

Crazy in love

Crazy in love

How are you?  I hope you are fine.  I know I am – after today, who wouldn’t be?

I would like to talk to you about what happened today; I’ll go first.

I thought I knew how much I missed you, but when I saw you, even though you were just an arm stretch away, I began missing you even more.  I realized something rather fascinating – fascinating to me at least – I was hungry for you.  Weird isn’t it?

Today was way more than just the physical.  You touched my mind, my heart and my soul.  After you left, I couldn’t stop thinking about you.

I have a serious case of ‘You-titis’.  I confess, take me to jail, it is true!  I have been counselling myself ever since I first realized that I am beyond the point of no return.

When we first met, I had no intentions whatsoever to make my feelings for you go so far.  I saw you then as just another ‘victim’.

But…I am falling; falling deeper and deeper and deeper.  Help!

If I never met you, I would never have learnt how wonderful it feels to care about someone with every single fibre of my being.  Thank you for showing me how to care, how to trust and how to be loyal.  Thank you for being my friend and for being there when I needed you most.

I will never be able to repay you for teaching me that I can believe in and depend on love.

I extend my gratitude to both God and your parents.  If it were not for them, we would never have met.

My heart is yours and you mean the world to me.
